In a study by Dr. Arnold M. Ludwig, a psychiatrist at the University of Kentucky Medical, he quotes “Artists and writers experience two to three times the rate of psychosis, suicide attempts, mood disorders, and substance abuse than do comparably successful people in business, science, and public …show more content…
Kenny’s study of cause of death by musicians, some of the results are hardly surprising. For example, hip-hop artists are much more likely to be murdered than those in other genres. And punk and metal are, by massive margins, the styles in which musicians are most likely to suffer accidental deaths (which includes overdoses and crashes. Metal, too, has an issue with suicide: almost one in five dead metal musicians took their own life, whereas the God-fearing folk of gospel are the least likely to kill

According to Drugs, Society, and Criminal Justice, outlaw motorcycle gangs and street gangs have been credited as the two types of organized crime in America since the 1980's (Levinthal, 2012). However, both criminal organizations have various gangs that are identifiable by crimes they commit, how they are committed, and where they are committed, just as each gang has their friends and foes. " Gang members who sell drugs are significantly more violent than gang members who do not sell drugs and are more violent than drug sellers who do not belong to gangs", (Levinthal, 2012, p. 107).…

NHS looks for people with traits such as leadership, people who are outgoing in their community, and people with a great quality of character. If I am selected to be in this group, I would contribute to the growth of NHS by spreading information about what NHS is to other students and teachers. Before I got this application, I didn’t even know what NHS was and what you do once you are in it. I want other people to know the importance of this group and how it can look good not just for when you apply to colleges, but to yourself as well.…

For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy.
