If you’ve never felt overwhelmed before, hit up your local high school and try it out for a day! Days consist of early mornings, school, sports, going home, eating, homework, hanging out with friends maybe, and sleeping. Somehow highschoolers have to balance all of that out in 24 hours. They are given so much to complete within 24 hours, there’s simply not enough time in a day. The basic life of a high schooler typically includes balancing school, extracurriculars, homework, hanging out with friends, and sleep. School is the main source of feeling overwhelmed. There’s 8 classes in total, and for some people, half of their classes are dual credit college courses. It all adds up to a million assignments to complete within a week. That’s a little …show more content…
That’s all that matters, right? There’s no time for homework at all, because you’re at the school until about 5 or 6 at night doing extracurriculars like sports and clubs. Then, you have a decent amount of homework to complete on top of that. If someone is in extracurriculars, they spend about 10 hours at the school each weekday. That’s about 42% of the day spent at school. Homework is stressful and overwhelming to do. Especially since you already spent 7 hours at school, or 10 if you’re in a sport, and now you have to go home and do more school technically. If you’re lucky, you can finish in a decent amount of time, but for the most part, there’s quite a few hours down the drain. Not that homework is a waste of time, but it just takes up so much of your evening. Homework helps in the long run, but it’s stressful in the moment. Hanging out with friends is a necessity in order to bring something into your life that’s not stressful. It’s hard to make time to hang out with people though. Usually, the person you want to hang out with has homework when you don’t. Then, the night you don’t have any, they have a bunch. Friends help keep me sane during the school year, so it’s important to make time to be with

Students in high schools had teachers instructing and advising them on what, how, and when to do their schoolwork; however, in university students have the freedom and each one is responsible for him/her self. Final Hours What would you want to do if you only had twenty four hours left to live. For my last twenty four hours, I would spend with my brothers; Bryce, Weston and Quinn, since we all love to go off-roading I would go buy jacked up mud racing trucks and tear up our favorite minimum maintenance roads around the outskirts of Humboldt. The reason I chose to bring my three brothers is because they all love to do some type of off-roading, so I thought they would be part of my last day. I chose Bryce because his favorite thing to do is offroading, when he has spare time he goes outback behind our house and tears up the slough.…

After the 24-hour fast, I discovered that I basically cannot live the life I live without mass media. Even after I turned off my phone for approximately 23 hours, I was still surrounded by media. Whether that was the pictures on the walls of my room, practicing choral music during a six and half hour rehearsal, drawing in my notebook, or taking a shower. In short, the only time I was actually fasting from media was the 10 hours I was sleeping. However, even then I could have been dreaming of scenarios or people I encountered through the media.…
