The 20C Academic English course is a lot harder than my previous Academic English Courses. I tried my absolute best in every single assignment to improve and to prepare myself for 39A writing class. I have trouble in some areas for example in editing my own grammar errors, organizing my thoughts in writing assignments, and taking grammar quizzes. Despite, I find some obstacles in some areas I also find myself enhanced in other parts. For example, I used to struggle in writing thesis statement along with the topic sentences, follow prompt instructions, and the citations. Currently, I consider myself solid about these areas even though they were hard for me at the beginning I consider them easy right now. This is a prove of my diligence. I worked hard to understand how to write thesis statement, I went to the writing center every day to get help and to understand the concepts that are difficult to me. Paper 1 and 2 provided me with a lot of practice in following the prompt instructions and how to cite correctly. The feedback that was provided from you contributed me with knowledge and practice in editing skills, organization, and development ideas.
The most helpful assignments are paper 1 and 2 when we had to write about speaking up. We read

You can tell I carefully select my words and always pay attention to pick the right phrases in my writing assignments. All the projects that we did in the class prepared me enough to take 39A writing class. the writing assignments plus the writing contest were challenging therefore they prepared me well enough for the difficulty that I will face in 30A course. I am not saying it will be easy for me because there is nothing easy unless you work diligently. I believe I will be very successful in 39A because I am very confident about writing. I am resolute and smart therefore I can achieve whatever I

Assignment 4 was a Summary and Analysis of “The Earth is Full” by Thomas Friedman, and I decided that Friedman’s essay was not effective. Lastly, assignment 6 was an argumentative letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on overpopulation and resource depletion. These three assignments are all very different, and I believe that they are all good representations of my writing experience and ability. Assignment 3, a Summary and Analysis of “A Nation of Mutts” by David Brooks was the second Summary and Analysis that I had written. The first one was the previous assignment and I essentially used that as a learning experience to do better on assignment 3.…

On the 1st day of AP English class all you heard was the clock barely ticking, sweat coming off of the teacher forehead and the students taking out paper and writing utensils to take notes on what we need. What stood out was Mrs. Fantroy’s strong voice along with the books that were shown for everyone to read that semester. The books looked like they could have come from out of ancient tombs or something. She had at least two lengthy looking books. She stated, “These are just some books for you guys to read just this semester.…

Sitting at my desk in english class, 15 minutes before the end of the period, feeling a small sense of deep inner satisfaction from my work in the previous double period of Draw/Paint level 4, I held a piece of paper in my hands pertaining the information and guidelines of a common app essay. Somewhat confused, I stared blankly at the paper. The bolded words of the length requirement and the due date stuck out against the pure white like a needle through the skin of my finger. I felt a deep sense of dread as I was trying to brainstorm an immediate idea as to what I could write about. I thought of the lessons I learned from my father on right and wrong.…

Little did I know that I would have to gather up even more enthusiasm and passion to be able to continue writing papers about the same topic all semester long. This course has tested my endurance, and at many times my patience, and for that I am thankful because I know in the end, it has made me a better writer. Despite various minor challenges this semester I believe that I have put in the hard work that it takes and I have achieved the course goals and will complete this class feeling fulfilled and accomplished.…
