Boom! “Run”, John said when the bomb hit their military base. John was in horrible pain when he lost his legs. Coming out of the military he knew it would be hard for him.John has been in the military for five years.

Growing up with two sisters, he didn't have much of an option than playing volleyball. John has always enjoyed watching the men’s volleyball team. One day, his family decided to send in a video of him playing volleyball.

The following week after that he got a letter that said,
“ You have been qualified for the Men’s Disabled Volleyball Team. Tryouts will start on August 5 2018, 3:00-5:00 pm. We will have the offical team on August 20, 2018. The Olympics will be held on August 5, 2020. There will be 13 people
