In the year 2010, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) produced a declaration that was started by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), on Nursing Future which encourages to increase the number of baccalaureate-prepared nurses in the workforce to 80% by 2020. In addition, the fifth recommendation by the IOM to increase by two the number of nurses with doctorate degree by the year 2020. Engaging in lifelong learning for nurses is a very important achievement because it will help nurses to be aware of the health care reform processes and changes in evidence based procedures. In the current world, health care is reforming and pushing to advancement in education especially with the nurse professionals. To have better job opportunities, nursing practice is influenced by education that leads in higher quality of care of the patients.

In addition, NP and advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) holding graduate degrees interact widely while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers in a more-deeper way when providing health care. NPs can also specialize in a type of care, which includes gerontology, psychiatric mental health, and midwifery. Nonetheless, when checking all the employment fields, healthcare is growing very fast and has one of the best paying jobs. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS 2015) reports that the most growing industries are related to health care and that nurse practitioner jobs will grow 35% between 2014 and 2024, as illustrated by Nursepractitionerschools.com (2016). Other jobs might only grow by 7%, which is far less. Furthermore, nurse practitioners earn an average of $97,990, which is more than double of the average salary for other occupants at an average of $47,230 (Nursepractitionerschools.com
