The 2016 Presidential Election is a hot topic in America at the moment. One of the most intense rivalries in the campaign is between Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Currently, Secretary Clinton is the front runner of the Democratic party, followed closely behind by Senator Sanders. With a long career in the White House, She seems like the obvious Democratic nominee. However, Sanders’s cult like following strongly opposes to anything said by Clinton. The main question is, why? In 1976, she worked in Jimmy Carter’s campaign for president, then again later when her husband, Bill Clinton, ran for president. She became first lady in 1993, which made her even closer to presidential politics. In 2008, she was given the title of Secretary of State under President Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton has a liberal economic policy, yet it will not send us spiraling into debt. She wants to make economic growth strong, fair, and long term. Under President Clinton, working families and small businesses would receive tax cuts in order to bring in more money to support themselves easily. In theory, this will encourage more people to begin working, and allow more women to enter the workforce, which has been a struggle in the past. She believes raising the minimum wage to $12 nationwide will grow the economy and allow impoverished families to earn a living wage to support themselves. In addition to lower class families receiving tax cuts, the wealthiest Americans would receive tax increases that would not disrupt their lifestyle, but would benefit the nation by taking in more money, as well as closing loopholes that prevent large companies and rich people from getting out of paying taxes. The government would also take money from Wall Street Bankers that helped cause the recession in 2008 to pay for their crimes and help “reset” the economy from this disaster. Hillary created concepts that will prevent adding trillions of dollars to the debt crisis yet will help our country get where it needs to

Clinton spoke about the initiatives she plans to put in place as well as the goals she hopes to accomplish, such as providing better mental health care for veterans and obliterating ISIS, while Trump bashed other members of the American government, including Obama and Clinton, and spoke about what could have been if someone at some time had done something differently.…
