RUNNING HEAD: THE FUN THEORY 1 Saving the environment is usually boring and ignored because of the benefits that doesn’t seem to work. Volkswagen thought of an idea that initiates people to change their lazy behaviors and ultimately, how they feel towards saving the environment by allowing them to see the fun side of acting responsibility. He experimented the effects of having fun by determining the productivity based on the actions of people that enjoys what they are doing, to people who are forced to do the same thing. The results were dramatically different and effective. Dealing with everyday problem related with the “Fun” factor gives birth to and is the main purpose of The Fun Theory (Yudowsky, 2009). With this enjoying and protecting the environment can be done at the same time (The Fun Theory, n.d). Fun Theory can lessen the threat towards the environment through the help of different applications. According to Lundgren (n.d) Executing a few ideas and see what change comes from it can be an exemplary to others. Then challenge other to explore. According to him, the turbulent winds and storm surges that brought and caused by the typhoon Yolanda destroyed everything. Leaving nothing to the people. If The Fun Theory will be applied here and a stronger typhoon or storm will be formed, could the things that they have made will also be damaged or destroyed and will just turn into a waste material? So building it will just result that it is a nonsense idea and a waste of money, effort and time. Most of the indigent Filipinos that are from rural areas and try their luck in the city especially in Metro Manila, lead to live a life in shanties and become more miserable. A lot of them will do everything to gain money and sustain their selves or their families. Prostitution, selling out their body parts and illegal drugs, and doing crimes or scams. The application of The Fun Theory in the Philippines would be absolutely hard if people lack in discipline and right manners.
