Malcolm wanted to inform the audience of the class of 2014 that the nation’s job market continues to force college graduates to take jobs they’re overqualified for and also jobs that are outside their major and career path. Young adults still face higher unemployment and the rate that the unemployment is heading to had dropped severely which was a huge concern for 2014 college graduates. I definitely agree with the article which mentioned that many employers continue to seek college students whose skills tend to be in high demand such as business and engineering majors.
