One Perception Check Later A light rain comes to a stop as I walk up the slick driveway of my friend Aaron’s house. I push on the white, waterlogged, wooden fence gate to the backyard and stand just thirty feet from the open garage door. The backyard consists of two halves: the concrete path with a hutch housing rabbits and a grass yard with a brown, stone fire pit. I thought that this was such as good one that describes my life because at a very young age, I was taught that I needed to respect everyone I met. There were times when i was young that I would complain to my mom about how I didn't like someone, but she would always tell me I still have to show them the kind of respect that I would expect out of them.
