This week students were asked to conduct a 2 -part assignment which consisted of interviewing a volunteer family member to role play a vignette of one’s choice and to write a one page paper about the result attained from the Audit or Dash questionnaire. I chose to use the Audit questionnaire because it was more thorough and allows one to receive more information about the individual’s current state. My individual scored a 3 on the Audit assessment. Being that she scored a 3 indicates she is at a level 1 – Low Risk and social workers should incorporate Brief education: An opportunity to educate patients about low-risk consumption levels and the risks of excessive alcohol use.
