There are countless ways biased against low-income families. A large part of the social class stigma attached to poverty is plainly incorrect. Most people believe that the poor are poor because of their own shortcomings instead of inequitable access to services and opportunities. There are litanies of stereotypes towards poor people, such as poor people are lazy and uneducated. They are alcoholics and drug addicts. They do not want to work and depend on the social welfare system. They don’t know how to teach their children and let them run wild and dirty. Poor people don’t have the knowledge and only good for labor, but nothing else. Other stereotypes about the poor are inattentive and, as a result, parents are not effective. Low-income parents or guardians who do not attend parent-teacher meetings can become the target of stereotyping, or worse, getting blamed by those educators. Even the low-income also biases against them. They believe that they could not improve themselves and do not have the resources necessary to get out of poverty. They may give up because it cannot easily be changed. The negative attitude and beliefs from parents will influence children’s development. Children who plight are easy to fall into a state of inferiority and low self-esteem when witnessing different lives of people who have rich backgrounds. Obviously, there are more barriers for people living in poverty than there are for people who are wealthy or middle-class citizens. Persona Doll is showing great strategies for parents try to open up the discussion that helps children understand the bias and work against it. We can support and teach children develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We can introduce the Persona Dolls’ characteristics so they children, such as a real personality like a name, age, personal likes and dislikes, ethnicity and physical characteristics. They are used by teachers or parents as a way to open the conversation to help children have a better understanding. Such as, the dolls can tell children about her/him, and about the problem that he/she is facing, perhaps being bullied, teased, or isolated from peers. Then teachers will ask the children to help her/him come up with ideas to solve the problem. Parents can use the doll to tell a story that addresses the incident or challenging issues. They can talk to the doll to relay messages to the
