Watched, haven’t we all once in our lifetime felt as if we were being watched. In the novel 1984 by George Orwell is about a society in which everyone is being watched by Big Brother which is the organization that watches everyone at all times. What Orwell predicted in his novel was is correct we are being watched as if we were living in “1984.” We’re being spied on in many different ways such as social media where others can see what one likes or views. Some government agencies and even terrorist can tap into our phones and see what they would like to see without us even knowing. To start off, Orwell is correct we live in a society like in “1984.” but without all hard working labor and the huge t.v.’s that tell others what to do. Our privacy

It's a wrong but it's right they are technically trying to protect us but however they are going through our personal information without us knowing. President Obama discussed a topic about this he stated “you can not have one hundred percent security and then have one hundred percent privacy and zero inconvenience.” President Obama is one hundred percent correct we cannot be protected without our privacy being attacked. Although the novel 1984 leds up to most of these events, the novel “Brave New World is somewhat like the world we live in today. In the novel technology is advanced there’s this item called “feelies” where people use it to pass time and have fun, some consistently use this. This is just like our society but instead of feelies everyone uses smartphones to have people are constantly on their never letting it go. Also another thing that Huxley predicted through his novel was how nobody has feelings. In the society we live in today children don’t really care if someone passes away, for example my neighbor’s uncle passed away and he’s 13 years old, during the funeral everyone was crying and he was there just playing on his phone, when the cremation was about to begin he got upset not because his uncle died because his phone was taken away.
