When a government can control its media and the mind of its citizens then that government has reached the peak of its power and authority. If a government controls the mind of its citizens then it is most likely possible to them no longer believe in the law of gravity or any other scientific facts.

Hitler manipulated his people by giving them hope and lifted Germany from the great depression; so that they can obey him and carry out his beliefs, even though if they oppressed certain groups or race.In the United States, these methods or tools are far from happening , because it violates the human rights that are listed in the constitution.
“ Science is one of the most powerful and pervasive features of modern human cultures”(Ian James Kidd). It is nearly impossible for a society without science to have progress in the way of how humans behave or interact. Same with history, can not be a society without history or history being taught about other countries because that might limit globalization. If there is no globalization between countries, their societies will be eliminated and the citizens will be more ignorant which will lead to human distinction.
This is not far from happening, since the U.S. government do spy on their citizens for terrorism. Although it has this power but they can not just spy without reasonable cause unlike the Big Brother, so if there is any spying being done by our government it will be just for our safety and wellbeing.
