1960s Book Comparison

Compare and Contrast In the novels ,While the World Watched, The Watsons Go To Birmingham, and the excerpts from The Red Scarf Girl, and the excerpts from Times have changed from the 1960s to all 3 novels. There are similarities and differences in all 3 novels. So there were times in each book where certain people couldn't do things because of the color of there skin. So in each story the music, transportation and education. Times changing, in all three novels. By comparison to The Watsons Go To Birmingham,they had a whole other music system that in the 1960s. They had things like rock, folk, pop, and country. According to the book, the beatles song was a big hit. The music system was a bit different because like you couldn't just have a random music player. Back then those things cost a lot of money. Her family would get called black and she would be bullied for it. In the book ji li father was a landlord with means his job was horrible. Until ji li had to write a paper in class and had to list her family background some kids picked on her. In the 1960s there were big problems with race. Like black people had to go in certain restrooms. Different schools and water fountains. A Lot of people were racist and cruel and didn't like their family background. In the book, While The World Watched, Bombing was a big situation. In 1960s and in the book there were may places that got bombed. It was a very sad period of time. The Birmingham church was bombed with four innocent little girls in it. That day was really sad. All families gathered around the church crying worried about their children. After that day there was a funeral and then no one ever spoke of the bombing or the little girls. Not a word was said or nothing about the bomb. It was like a bomb heard around word that was a huge
