The 1936 Olympics were an important event in history because if Germany wasn’t the nation that had held the 1936 Olympics then Hitler and the Nazis wouldn’t have been able to use it to boost themselves up in the German government, which would have delayed World War Two. Both the Nazis and the rest of the world got a wake up call when some human rights groups protested that the 1936 Olympics were to be held in Berlin, Germany. They did this because they were aware that the Nazis did not treat everyone as equals but in fact promoted white and Aryan people above everyone else.
