The economy in 1920 was booming. New things were being invented and new ideas were being placed. This decade flourished with new modern- products for everyday use. Such as the Automobile, Household appliances, electronic products and more. One thing that formed from the economic boom was the boom cycle (Document A). The boom cycle was a series of actions that help other actions boom. For example, the Increase in production of automobiles led to the increase of sales, this increase in sales would demand for more employment, and therefore you received more employees to increase the profits. Before the Roaring Twenties women were very dependent on men, they were covered by clothing and they had little to no free time. All of that changed when they started rebelling against social norms. Women were becoming more independent, as new household inventions developed they gave women more free time and more independence. Women also started dressing differently (Document C) they would dress in shorter dresses, more skin showing, and shorter hair. Additionally, women acted differently, they started smoking and drinking in public. These women that took in these new styles and defied traditional standards of female behavior were called Flappers. Furthermore, women's suffrage changed in the 1920s. The 19th amendment passed unifying suffrage laws across the United States. Six states before 1909 passed Equal Suffrage, and from 1910-1918 24 states received equal suffrage. Finally by 1919, when the amendment passed, all states obtained Equal suffrage (Document
