For example, in this article named ‘lessons from the triangle shirt waist factory fire-osha’. They argue about the owners of how they are the cause of 146 deaths. It says “The triangle shirtwaist fire of 1911 took the lives of 146 garment workers because of the lack of adequate safety precautions in the factory in which they worked in New York City”. This shows that the owners didn’t do any fire drills or show people/workers what to do during a fire. They should have showed workers how to react and what to do during a fire because no one would’ve panicked and everyone could’ve gotten out safely. Another point that supports my argument is from a very helpful article named ‘United States Department of Labor’. Older plants had very poor fire protection. Machinery guarding lighting and sanitary conditions often were bad”. This shows owners had poor fire protection items because that also could’ve caused the factory fire. For the reasons above, the owners were to blame for the deaths of the workers because they were having machinery that were horrible and poor fire
