18490: Incident Report

EREPORT # 18490 stated the following: The incident happened on 12/28/2015.
16 years old African-American female presented to the emergency room via ambulance following an altercation between she and her mother. Police responded to the scene to intervene, and pt was brought to the emergency room for psychiatric evaluation due to suicide threat made during the altercation. Upon presentation, pt alleged that she was beaten by her mother who hit her with a "cane". ER Patient disclosed to staff. Patient's mother told staff that she dis not hit patient with a cane, but did "whoop" patient using a "switch". The child has no injuries. The child had an injury in the past and it was a bruise on her head.
