“1776” written by McCullough is well written and organized for the reader to follow providing an in-depth look at that time period and giving each character, not only a brief look, but an in-depth look into their state of mind and why they chose the path they are walking down. Though the author sometimes dives too deeply into the story of each character it still gives the reader a deeper understanding of that time period. This book is written for the reader who enjoys an in-depth look to history. Readers who enjoy going into the details of history, the reasons why events happens, how the people felt during those times, and why they took the risks they did for what they believed
