The sixteenth Church bombing happened on a sunday morning of Sep. 15, 1963 right before people started to come in for church. Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson and Cynthia Wesley were getting ready for a church service before the bomb went off killing all of the girls and injuring a lot of other people. All of the girls were found in a basement covered in rubble from the explosion, but one the girls Sarah Collins was with the girls covered in rubble and was injured and lost her right eye. The bombing was caused by a member of the KKK. The KKK sent out multiple bomb threats to the church and the bomb went off at 10:22 in the morning.
