This officer spoke with the complainant Bonds at 1818 Mansard Blvd in reference to juveniles coming to her house waiting to fight her daughter. Bonds advised yesterday after school juvenile #2 came to her apartment 920 E 40th Ave #1H looking for juvenile #1. At1101 hours, this writer contacted Juvenile Processing Center to ascertain if M-1 was in their custody, this writer spoke with Officer Hopkins of the Metropolitan Police Department, Juvenile Processing Center unit he advised negative for M-1 being in their custody. At 1103 hours, this writer contacted Child And Family Services Agency, this writer spoke with hotline worker 28 operator who advised there is currently an open investigation with this family for abuse, she also advised M-1 was not currently with their agency physically. On September 1, 2017 at approximately 6:21PM I, Sergeant George assisted by Deputy Davis and Deputy Gamm checked en route to 1900 County Road 2260, Mineola, Texas, 75773 in to a disturbance involving a gun. The Darlie Routier case is one of the most perplexing cases of accused filicide. Routier was accused and convicted of one count of capital murder in the killing of her two sons Damon age 5, and Devon age 6. Although criminal justice requires the correct label to be attached to the defendant’s misconduct, the wide scope of behaviour covered by the Homicide Act 1957 often results in the unfair, and thus harsh, labelling of offenders. This essay will sought to prove that the law of homicide is often too harsh in its assignation of labels to those who cause the death of others, by concentrating on the examples of murder with oblique intent, involuntary manslaughter and the partial defence of infanticide.
