Looking at our nation’s history, the slave population consisted of a majority of African Americans. As a result, an outcome of the civil war came to be the 13th amendment. The 13th amendment has been one of the most influential yet impacting amendments that has been passed in this country. President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in 1865 to get rid of the racism that existed and ending the cruel behavior against African Americans. Though the amendment was passed, it did not apply to everyone, many of the victims of slavery were still harassed. The discrimination against African Americans proceeded and became worse, black lives were a joke to racist humans with different points of views. This film showed a variety of rhetorical strategies such as ethos, pathos, and logos.

As mentioned, the slavement ended, but colored people were destined to work as slaves and continued being attacked. Racism has revolved America for years, the proposition of Abraham Lincoln was misused, and until now racism remains one of the most common things in this country. The solutions that have been brought up, are a significant way to calm racism and sooner end the tragedy.
