Are you getting enough nutrients? Carbs, proteins, and fats are important because they help get a better and healthier body. Teenagers around the age of 13 to 18 do not consume enough fats, proteins, or carbs or they consume way too much. Different age groups must consume different amounts and if consumed the right amount it leads to a better and healthier lifestyle.
A boy around the age of 14 and 18 should be eating 52 grams of protein a day. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood. A boy who eats 52 grams of protein a day has a better chance of having better skin, strong muscles, better blood flow, and strong bones. If 14 to 18 years old teen consumes 2,400 calories a he should aim for 270 to 390 grams of carbs per day. Eating the right amount of carbs will provide your body with energy, a teen who consumes the right amount of carbs daily will have more energy than a person who consumes very little. A teenage boy around 14 to 18 need at least 70 to a 100 grams a day. Fats are a very important part of your diet

Good sources of carbs include whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and beans. Adding this to daily diet will give you energy throughout the hard day ahead of school life, students need energy throughout the day to complete school tasks. Some good sources of fats contain fatty fish, fish like salmon, trout, mackerel, sardines and herring these not only contain good sources of fats but also it is a good source of protein.
