12th Grade Graduation Speeches

If I were to imagine that I was writing a speech for my 12th grade graduation, I would think of a symbol that could represent my hard work and dedication throughout my whole school career. This symbol that I am using is a lion. This symbol also represents my graduation. This is because on your graduation day you have finally accomplished and defeated school. My symbol will also help you do this with good achievements and a good heart. One part of the symbol shows hard work, this part of it shows how you’ve strived to do great at school through thick and thin. All those nights of hard essays and reviews, that you struggled to stay awake for because it was 1:00 a.m. Those mornings that you just want to go back to bed and sleep till the next day. This is what the hard work part of my symbol shows. That even though sometimes you have troubles you just have to keep on pushing through them. …show more content…
What if you wanted to go to a friends house one night, but you have homework, what do you do? Of course you stay home and do the homework, this shows dedication. You have a ballgame at 8:00 p.m. but you also have a lot of homework to do that day as well. Even though your game would last till 10:00 p.m. you still have to have the dedication to stay up and do it. One might ask “why does this symbol mean so much to you?” Well If you have worked hard for 8 years straight to be the best in your grade I think you would want an award. Especially if you aren’t able to participate in athletic activities. Grades should mean a lot to everybody, what if you weren’t born into good possibilities? You would look to grades and school to get out of those kind of situations. Even if you were born into good possibilities that doesn’t give you an excuse to slack off because you still have to maintain a good grade to stay in school to get the honor to

Scholarship, leadership, character, and service has shaped me to the person I am today. Today, I am involved in my community, top ten student, and a leader in my school. Although, this would have occurred without the four pillars of National Honor Society. As a child, I wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society but it was only a dream. Scholarship, service, leadership, and character are the characteristics that lay the foundation for success and are the reason why I perform at such a high degree in everything that I do. Although I’ve always had high ambitions for myself, the scholarship aspect of the National Honor Society confirms the importance of education and also reaffirms that anything is possible and it made easier with academic achievement. However, any achievement, academic or not, is meaningless to me if I don’t give back one way or another to the people who made my success possible including teachers, school staff members, fellow classmates, parents, and friends. On top of this, I learned that the smallest of gestures can make a big difference in someone’s life…

She also states that the ones who do work hard will become upset when they do not receive rewards and recognition for their accomplishments. On the other hand, if we did not hand out trophies to the kids that just participated, they could also become extremely motivated to receive a trophy next time and the kids that did work hard and earned a trophy would not feel cheated. When kids are young trophies do motivate them but as Carol said, by age 4 and 5 they know that not everyone deserves one. At around age 7 or 8 we should stop giving trophies to everyone and have kids push themselves to earn a trophy or an…

Throughout my entire sophomore year at Collegiate High School, I feel as if my most creative assignment was creating a personal symbol. On April 8, 2016 during Stress-Free Friday, we had to answer questions about ourselves that we most likely had not thought of before. These questions included topics such as your personal life, your family life, and what you have been taught over the years. While looking back on these questions, I realized a plethora of people are credited with helping me grow up and teaching me life lessons. These questions brought to light just how important these people are, for they built up my personality.…

Greetings, Class of 2023. Today, we get to celebrate the culmination of our thirteen years of hard work in school with graduation, and I have been asked to deliver this year’s commencement speech. I would like to thank all of the people that have brought us here: family members, teachers, principals, and people who would go out of their way to encourage us to keep trying hard even in the midst of failure. Without you, we would not be standing on this stage today. I would like to start by defining the word “commencement.”…
