According to Northouse (2016), are twelve principles of servant leadership, as a nurse and health coach I would apply several of these in my professional environment. These principles include listening, empathy, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, and commitment to the growth of people (Northouse, 2016). Even though I am not currently in a distinct leadership role, I believe that these principles can be applied within my department to help the department to be successful. Let me provide further details on two of the principles that I am able to utilize.
