Did you know that humans have 12 human major body systems? The 12 body systems are the integumentary, lymphatic and immunity, skeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine, muscular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, female reproduction system, male reproduction system. The function of the integumentary system is to protect body and help to change temperature for body temperature in climates such as hot and cold weathers. The function of the lymphatic and immunity system is the interstitial fluid move from the tissues go into the circulatory system. The function of the skeletal system is to support bones and help the body to move. The function of the nervous system is to send messages (signals) from the brain and control rest of the body. There is about 50-80% of women who became infected with CMV by 40 years old. This case is very rare if a woman got infected with CMV before becoming pregnant, the chance would be 1 in 100 (CDC). This is interesting fact for pregnant women that are at risks is “For pregnant women, the two most common exposures to CMV are through sexual contact and through contact with the urine and saliva of young children with CMV infection” (CDC). Also, the Science Direct article stated, “In developed countries 50% of women of child-bearing age are seropositive. In developing countries CMV is often acquired earlier in life due to higher breastfeeding rates and crowded living conditions, and up to 90% of child-bearing aged women may be seropositive (SDPCH). The Science Direct article stated that in developed (past) countries who born with Congenital CMV is about 0.6 and 0.7%. Currently, the rates increased 1% to 5% with Congenital CMV (SDPCH). This article “Seminars in Fetal and Neonatal Medicine” stated that Congenital CMV infection is most single cause of sensorineural hearing loss or deafness during childhood. About 10-15% of the infants with Congenital CMV have hearing loss currently. The disease has developed in first 6 years in children with symptomatic and asymptomatic infection. The hospital can run tests to see if there will be CMV infection or not for pregnant women if . However, when the babies born and the hospital can run the tests to diagnosis CMV infection at birth. After 2-3 weeks after birth, the virus can find in babies’ urine, salvia, blood or other body tissues. But for the babies with congenital CMV can’t be diagnosed to test more than 2-3 weeks after birth
