The 11 on 11 people throwing, jumping dodging, diving, and tackling. All over a clean cut grass field in front of thousands of people. Getting dirty playing on the grass, in snow, sleet, rain, windy, sunny days till they can't play no more. It's a very simple game to play unless you understand the rules and the positions of the players. To play you need to know what the positions. There are three parts of football offence, defence, and special teams. One of the main ones is offence. On offence you only allowed 11 players on the field. you have to have seven people equal of the line of where the ball is but not over it, and four people behind the line or what's called the back field. To the left and right of the guards are called the tackles. So you would have the left tackle, left guard, center, right guard, right guard as the five down linemen. Than on the line next to either tackle they can have one or two tight ends depending on how many other positions there are on the field. They are normally on the line but aren't always on the line. They can block and go out for passes and if wanted to can run the ball. Than out wide is the wide receiver. They can block, run the ball, and can go out for a pass if they want to. They can line up in tight or out wide on the line or off the line at anytime just as long as there are still seven people on the line. Then there is the running back and full back. They are two different positions but they can do the same thing by running the ball blocking or going out for a pass. The running back runs the ball more and the full back run just not as much and is more of a blocker. From experience the full back has to be big, strong and somewhat fast. They cannot be afraid of being hit hard or taking big hits and have to be able to block, catch the ball, and
