There are about 211 million pregnancies each year and 32,000 of those pregnancies are a direct result of rape (11 Facts about Sexual Assault) (Not Every Pregnancy Is Welcome). Rape causes several physical issues to the victim that they could carry with them for the rest of their life. For example, HIV and permanent damage to their reproductive organs. After someone is attacked, they can suffer from serious mental issues as well, like depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). There are several other mental and physical effects of rape that need to be stopped. It is on us to stop sexual assault, and we should all support those who tried to say no but were wrongfully violated.

Maybe they don’t want all that attention drawn to them.” However, all they may want and need is to be heard so they can stop these assaults from happening to other people.
