Drunk driving is a type of social group of people that are rule breakers that drink alcohol,and drive under the influence of alcohol. Victims of a drunk driving accident suffer a lot because they lose a family member. Drunk driving is a crime in which someone drives under the excess amount of alcohol. Drunk driving costs the city a huge amount of money as well as their families. Drunk driver's in the years have had a huge decrease of accidents and damage to the city.

Every 51 minutes in america someone is killed in a drunk driving crash(11 facts about drunk driving page 1). The victim's family are left behind in sorrow and with a sense of hatred against the person that caused them to have hate. Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for teens and roughly ⅓ of these accidents involve alcohol or another substance(11 facts about drunk driving page 2). Every 120 seconds someone is injured in a car crash accident(11 facts about drunk driving). There has been a huge decrease of deaths due to more laws being passed down to maintain the city safe. The article Random Facts states that “according to the 50 states driver's are considered legally drunk when his/her blood contains more than the level of alcohol which is 0.8 grams”(page 1).Many people drive drunk more than 300,000 times but only 3,200 are arrested (MADD).Several people in the world know how to control themselves when they are driving even though they are drunk but there are some that when they are drunk their eyesight starts to blur out.The average rate in which a drunk driver drives is at the age of 25 to 29 years old(MADD).The total percent of a convict is 50 to 70 percent that continues to drive with a suspended license(MADD).
