Abraham Lincoln, was an incredible president in terms of what he accomplished in bettering our nation, however, he was not justified in his expansion of the executive branch. This caused many unjust occurrences both to the government, and the people. In doing this, he opened the door for other presidents, giving them justification in their actions, caused the unlawful treatment of many citizens, and allowed for deaths of citizens.
One of the main issues with Lincoln expanding presidential power, is that he gave other presidents, justification for similar acts in their mind.
