Professional Teaching Standards This paper will summarize the 10 standards of InTASC professional teaching standards. InTASC is an acronym for “Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium.” The purpose of these standards is to challenge all teachers to think of more effective’s ways of teaching their students. The same standards of teaching should be taught by every teacher with the United States. The standards are like basic instructions for both novice and veteran teacher. The standards can be seen as the golden rules of teaching or like the teacher’s blueprint. These standard are designed to help both educators and learners grow in knowledge with wisdom.

Create a fun and secure learning environment. Take time teach the rules such as we respect each other, we will learn from each other because we are a team. Give learning rewards and learning breaks to create an atmosphere of excitement. Learning breaks can be movement or listening to students’ favorite song on YouTube. Use your knowledge of the student to know when they are ready to move to the next level or if more time is needed before moving forward with a lesson. Having regular assessment will help both teacher and student engage growth of the learner. Be prepared to modify, adapt and differentiate the assignments if necessary after the assessment to best fit the learning needs of the students.
