10/22 Ruger Reflection

Decent Essays
This weeks lesson over the 10/22 Ruger was very intresting being that I do not own one and have never really wanted to until this lesson. For me I thought it was just a simple 22 long rifle that you can put a cheap scope on since there hardly any recoil. After reading this lesson I found that there is tones of accessories out there. I did'nt even know there was TruGlo optic sights that were made for the rifle. For me thought I would have to first figuer out what kind of stock I would like to start off with. I'm arleady looking at two builds that I'm intrested in. The first one being somthing tactical and the secound being a precsition. Specialy after seeing the diffrent types of barrles there are out there. I've seen videos also online with

As the standard infantry rifle of the Second World War, the Garand saw combat throughout theaters in Europe with the United States Army and especially in the Pacific with the United States Marine Corps. The major distinction of the M1 Garand series lay in the acceptance of the weapon system as the first self-loading rifle reaching operational status in the world. This occurred at a time when other national military forces were still relying on the tried and true, albeit slow-loading, bolt-action type rifles. The M1 Garand, however, was not only…

On my third deployment on COB Speicher, Iraq in 2012 my right ankle injury occurred on an incline while ruck marching. The following week I took a record APFT, on the final even I felt a pop and sharp pain in my right leg. After finishing the 2 mile run I was driven to the local medical center to be looked at. The medical examiner told me that it was just a high sprain and proscribed Motrin and crutches. Upon redeployment at the SRP center I was reexamined by the provider.…

My responsibility for this workshop was to proceed with a handover of a patient to an intern (played by Dr. Michael Adamson). This was a particularly disasterous session. My performance was not only unfit within the scope of academic criteria, but was clearly short of acceptable for a real-world SBAR. During the reading of the scenario I was daunted by the task of having to SBAR report a patient to admission at a hostpital, based on information I was reading for the first time; my practice with the hand-over system was minimal prior to the session.…

Perception is a critical idea for many works including, “How to Be Stupid: The Teachings of Channel One” by Mark Crispin Miller and “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer. Both works idealize either a product or an experience that outsiders are captivated by. In Miller’s “How to Be Stupid,” he exposes Channel One for all the manipulative tactics used to sell a product to its viewers. While Krakauer’s “Into the Wild” is a retelling of the story of a man named Chris McCandless that goes on a voyage to existentially discover himself and his meaning for living. McCandless had a difficult childhood, and had an outlook on life that many would not even fathom.…

Over the past year in GSW I have learned more for me to become be better writer. This course 1120 has shown me that I have improved from the last semester. With this semester the essays have helped me with the idea of being a little more open-minded and light in my essays just so I don’t offend people when they read my work. I think that I should pass GSW 1120 for the way that I have learned and improved more than first semester or the beginning of this semester. Rhetorical Knowledge is one of the major things that you should know at the end of a GSW class.…

There are three main points that stuck out to me from Dr. Sunser's presentation last week. The first point is the changing nature of the college presidency in the 21st century. The second point concerns his personal approach to the presidency, and the last is related to the issues arising from external accountability. It is these three points that I will focus on throughout this reflection. Dr. Sunser made clear in the beginning of his discussion that the traditional path to the presidency is no longer dominant within higher education.…

Class #1 No readings (yet) Course introduction and overview I am extremely excited about PACS 331 and the content that we are going to cover throughout the term. I’ve always been interested in trauma healing and hope that after the course I will be more knowledgeable about identifying trauma and about how to help those who have experienced or are experiencing it. I personally think that the idea of these journals is a great learning tool. Taking the time to reflect on learning is something that often is tossed aside until dreaded midterms and finals where the lessons are required to be absorbed, usually at a thoughtless and rushed pace.…

The course AFAS 160 D1 is my first online class, and until now I still felt lucky to choose this class as one of my general education classes, because it gave me a great opportunity and an eye-opening experience about learning the African American Culture which I have never learned before and also gave me a chance to learn online. Describing this course to someone else, I would say this class is interesting and if you want to learn this class well, you need to prepare the Voice Thread and read the book carefully. To be honest, making videos on Voice Thread gave me a unique experience. I still remembered the first time I made a video on Voice Thread how nervous I was, I was afraid to have different ideas with other students and worried if they disagreed with me what should I do?…
