1. Explain at least three genetic influences on you. Some genetic influences that I have had to personally deal with include, the color of my skin, my diabetes gene, and the obesity gene that runs through my family. My parents both have tan skin so both of them passed that on to me and that has influenced me socially, by affecting how people treat me and how people act towards me. The diabetes gene passed through my family onto me has influenced me by increasing my chances of acquiring diabetes in my life, which means I have to watch what I eat and how much I eat. Explain at least three influences your physical environment (before or after birth) has had on you. Influences that my physical environment had on me before birth included my mom’s good nutrition, and her being around a mostly closed and sterile environment, which meant that I was able to develop normally. After birth my environment consisted of very loud sounds that then influenced me to be more comfortable around crowded and loud areas.
2. Explain at least three responsibilities of a parent in managing the physical environment (before and after birth) for their children. Parents should be very responsible when it comes to their children both before and after birth. In my opinion some of the biggest responsibilities include making sure that before birth your child and the mother are both being well nourished, and eating well. Secondly a parent should make sure that before birth that the mother of the baby is not consuming any drugs, or becoming involved in risky medications or smoking cigarettes.
