This semester, I enrolled in Early Childhood Education 350 (ECE) at Consumes River College, which transfers over to Sacramento State as Child Development 35F. ECE 350 is a course that incorporates lecture and fielded experience at a school site. I was a student volunteer at John Reith Elementary school for an AM and PM kindergarten class. Ms. Moua is the morning instructor, and this is her first year at John Reith and Ms. Din is the afternoon instructor and is a veteran at John Reith. John Reith is a titled one school, meaning the majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Write of what parts of the text were the most difficult to read, and to identify how many times a passage was read before some understanding was achieved. This has been actually one of my best weeks so far, week 6. The topics were linear equations and non linear equations and I was able to remember about them so this time my brain was not that disconnected as normally is with algebra which made me happy. I really enjoyed this week’s assignments. Specifying goals and objectives have always been something I have enjoyed, since being introduced in a research course at the undergraduate level. Short Term 12 was a very interesting movie. It had hints of being realistic, but with aspects where you knew it was a movie. It’s about a group of workers who work in a foster care residential facility setting. The main character, Grace, deals with her own personal struggles while she supervises the children at the facility. In this chapter, I learned about the importance of supporting my reason or my research. Without accurate information our entire speech and research will often be untrue. When speaking there certain ways that are better for making an impact on the audience. The best day last week must be Thursday due to the extreme amount of attention my favorite activities received. Although I constantly take part in my favorite activities, I never truly enjoy every second of them due to my tight schedule. Every day I rush home, eat quickly, isolate myself in order to complete my homework, then sleep and repeat my day all over again. My highlight of the week is the new album of Logic, The Incredible True Story. It was a big hit yesterday waiting for almost for 2 weeks. Another highlight was that last week my baby brother came out of the hospital since he was born as a premature baby.
