Effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children, young people & adults as it helps form positive relationships that benefit everyone.
With children or young people effective communication is very important in a classroom environment to ensure that they feel included in whatever is going on, promoting their self-esteem & giving them confidence to join in & communicate.
Effective communication is schools is also important to ensure that all staff & pupils know what boundaries have been set by the school and that pupils must follow. Making sure the pupils have understood what is being asked of them by asking them to repeat back or tell you what they have been asked.
