There are several definitions of projects in the literature, one of the best has been given below by Tuman.
“A project is an organization of people dedicated to a specific purpose. Projects generally involve large, expensive, unique, or high risk undertaking which have to be completed by a certain due data, for a certain amount of money, with some expected level of performance. At a minimum, all projects need to have well defined objectives and sufficient resources to carry out all the required tasks.” Tuman (1983),

There are certain facts which depends on the success as well as the failure of the project. These may occur mainly by the actions of the project manager, the team members and the other stakeholders who are involved in the development. And it will produce a quality and best project on them.
The main advantages of conducting a success/failure viabilities on projects.
• Facts on success of the project can be identified.
• Facts on failure of the project can be identified.
• Communication skills.
• The areas which has to be done can be identified easily.
