Sri Bhagavan said,” My feeling about people in prison is that if they were not in prison, we would be the ones in prison. A certain balance is being maintained in society. It is our duty to help them out.”

That’s all?” they ask. “Not do something bigger?”Although it appears insignificant, everything that we experience is precipitating somewhere in the world. As you are growing in that capacity of unconditional love and happiness, the world is transforming. The world is not separate from you. Your transformation is world transformation. Sri Bhagavan arranged a meeting with all of the students asking them, “How many of you students don’t have any negative thoughts? And where do you think that all of those negative thoughts are all going? Somebody must be taking them on. Someone has to absorb it and will assume that role. In this school it could be a student or even a teacher. It is like someone is sacrificing their own happiness for your well-being.” They finally understood what had happened and suddenly that boy became a hero to all of them. The children began to bring him food each day, and even do his laundry for him. They were so grateful to him. Whenever they saw that boy, they saw an extension of themselves.

Even if one person creates changes in his or her society at a global, national, or community level in a positive way, will make this world a better place. Each individual can create changes in his or her society, unless he/she feels that it is important to society, that an action must be needed and the action that they going to propose in order for changes to happen. They do not have funding for guidance counselors. The main thing that sets up this pipeline is that the zero tolerance policy we use with our youth.…

Disproportionate Minority Representation in American Prisons Arielle Warner English 122: English Composition II Instructor Nancy Segovia 29 September 2014 In contemporary American society, the Black male has become a disproportionate representation of what it looks like to be a criminal. In an era in which the concept of “colorblindness” and “equal-opportunity” are supposed to reign supreme, why is it that our African American males are being disproportionately represented in our prison populations? This gross over representation of African Americans in the American prison system is contributed to by the disparity in punishment between whites and blacks, the War on Drugs and the passing of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act…
