Rational: The Curious of the dog in the night-time is a novel written by Mark Haddon. This book, published in 2003. The main character is Christopher, who has a mental problem suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome. I am going to write a day, Christopher’s diary when he finds out his favorite teacher (Siobhan) has left and she sends a letter to him. I will start a Christopher’s diary with a quite good day and when he receives a letter, which the color of this letter is his favorite. Then I’ll show what his feelings will be after reading it. I have two goals to show in my written assignment. My first aim is to show how Siobhan cares about Christopher and she doesn’t want to leave him without saying goodbye, expresses how her feelings are as his teacher and give him some advises for his future. My second goal is, to show how Christopher reaction will be when he reads the letter. (If he gets sad or he feels bad about it) I chose a diary as my text type because it allows me, first put myself as Christopher and express my feelings as his world and then I put myself as a Siobhan and write a letter to Christopher and give him some advices and tell him my feelings when I was with him and learn more about a smart boy who lives in the logical world. July 30, 2003 Today I woke up at 8:13. I ate my breakfast and I went for a walk with Sandy. I usually go to a place that they are not so many people. I used to scare of strangers if they touch me, but now I have a dog can bite and…

In Response to One Art The poem that I have chosen for review is “One Art” (Strand and Boland, pg.11-12), written by Elizabeth Bishop. This particular poem focuses on the simplicity of loss. Specifically, on how easy it is to lose and then move on. Despite the unimportant losses presented in some of the items mentioned, I felt as though the core message of the poem was that it’s easy to lose those around you despite your caution, and eventually, one must learn to move on. A particular line in…

He insisted on her living with him in New York. They influenced each other’s work; Alfred took over 300 photos of Georgia and she produced many abstractions that displayed her love for him…

To make an image be perfect or stand out in the crowd, a bit of photo manipulation needs to occur. Many people do not realize how significantly advertisements have changed the original image to sell their product. Glamour, a fashion magazine, conducted a survey about their readers’ opinions about advertisements with photoshopped images (Seigal 29). There were 1000 women who answered the survey. When the data was collected, the process of editing small areas of flawed skin, flyaway hair, and…

Every magazine has its own target audience. Out magazine, founded in 1992, is aimed towards the LGBT+ community. Like all magazines Out has a variety of advertisements featured in its pages, ranging from travel ads to leisure products (such as alcoholic beverages). However, unlike many magazines, Out advertises medication for a very specific virus – HIV. The deadly virus first became apparent in the United States in the 1980s among gay males and has since been prominent in the LGBT+ circles.…

Advertising in today’s society depends solely on marketing demographics. Appealing to the right demographic hugely affects what advertisements you see used in certain types of media. For instance, you’re not going to see an advertisement promoting men’s clothing in a magazine geared towards women, and you won’t find an ad promoting make-up in a magazine intended for men. Rolling stone, a pop culture magazine that mostly appeals to young and mature adults, retails for under $5, and is laid out…
