These numbers are incredibly shocking and it is mysterious as to why Florida consists of one of the largest percentages of homeless people. Perhaps it is the high cost of living and low minimum wages that have left many homeless, but there are many other factors that cause this as well. In today’s society, people are struggling to pay rent and are living from paycheck to paycheck with a family to support. Some find a way to hardly make it out, however it seems that a majority become overwhelmed from the monetary struggles and end up losing their homes and quality of life. There are others who become homeless from fleeing from trouble with the law and have no choice but to travel constantly.
