throughout his night. Last but not least since Maz is Iranian , he uses a foreign accent to go along with the jokes he makes. Also by this it is helpful for us to understand what he is saying and that also it’s funny yeah to laugh about things like this in life. Jobrani achieves his goal of making people laugh by using structure to construct them into his punch-lines and his Set-Up. By doing this it makes the people of the audience understand more of what he is talking about and what he is relating to in the jokes Maz makes. For an example, one of the jokes Maz Jobrani made about his nationality would be when he says “I’m Iranian American, great now can you say I will kill you in the name of Allah”, I mean i could say that but if I were to say “hello I’m your doctor”, they go great then you go the hijack the hospital”. This was one of the examples that showed Jobrani’s set-up that made audience members think and think of what they could relate to off of what the meaning of the joke meant to them. This influences the crowd because it is a good Set-Up for the audience to convert them into the next step of the Maz’s punch lines , this is where Maz connects his jokes with stereotypes he begins to talk about with the audience: “I was doing a show in Dubai and they said that they were gonna send me a driver to pick me up. So I went down to the lobby and then I see this Indian guy I go “well this guy has to be my driver”. He was just sitting there with a thin mustache…
