So we are driven to reconsider how we view our own personal relationships. The HSC, can be a pretty daunting experience. And your peers are definitely a good backbone for you to succeed. Unite yourselves, with each other, strengthen the relationships with everyone. Do what Sadat did, put aside the differences, and aim for unified and equal approach, because through unity, you will truly succeed. Now if we shift over to Paul Keating’s Redfern Speech, the fundamental values of equality and unity are heavily discussed, transcending the immediate context, and prompting us to revaluate how we view Aboriginals in Australia. Keating addresses his speech in the 1993 International year of the World’s Indigenous People, an occasion that recognises Indigenous achievements. In his speech, Keating states to his audience not to feel guilty of their Australian past, and the maltreatment and Dispossession the Aboriginals suffered through. Instead proclaims that “Guilt is not a very constructive emotion”; the paraprosdokian phrase urges the importance of the audience to not overly concentrate or dwell on Australia's past experiences, which undeniably have damaged the Aboriginal connections to their lands, and spirituality; but instead utilise this guilt-stricken experience and action as a stepping stone- an avenue whereby Australia can ameliorate…
