However, aside from the economy, it not only discusses the economic and financial standpoint, but also the daily lives of teachers and students how there can be a possible decline of students from the E.U. that come to England to study abroad. This then, therefore, leads into a decline of revenue for universities and institutions across the E.U. (PBS, 2016). This was one of the only news stories that focused on the humanity aspect of the referendum. Many others focused solely on the actions of David Cameron and the specific economic effects of it as well. On a different standpoint, Rachel Maddow in her show, The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, brings up the point that many people forget about when discussing the British Parliament. Using video clips from NBC Nightly News in 1975 of the British Parliament and Kelly Evans of the New York Stock Exchange, Maddow brings up how the parliament had difficulties when first join the E.U. decades ago. Using statistics, Maddow also mentions that $164 billion was wiped out in 600 seconds once the Brexit took place. Experts said that the decline in the pound was not a “fall-off” but rather a “nose-dive” (The Rachel Maddow Show, 2016).
