    Neko Case Video Analysis

After watching the three videos for this week’s discussion post, I have a better understanding of the difference between a normal press kit and an EPK. In dealing with the artist that I have been working with through out this class I feel that a more creative video like the Neko Case video would be more suiting to the artist. They too are indie and artsy, maybe without the animated colleges but this style of video would get their story across and still promote the new album. Her video is a short film about where she came from and how she got there, much like The Blind Spots could use their background story to promote a new album. They too look at life in a different light, and an EPK that highlights the creative genius would just be the type of thing to show case a new album after several years. Referring again to the Neko Case video she is promoting her new album, but she is also promoting how she made the video. Her EPK is more of a narrative about how she was inspired and the emotional feelings that went into this album. I have listened to Neko Case prior to watching this video, and yes this video is very creative. She is one of those artists that when you listen to her music it almost makes you want to create something yourself. The way she intertwines animated clips that she herself made and the filters used to film the video are all forms of creativity she wanted to use to emphases that this album is very close to her heart. Her narration and the line she says about…

From reading The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, I would add a piece of technology that would help Jim Smiley win more bets with his frog. I would add a device that would be capable of measuring jumping height, force from takeoff, and the landing force. This way Mr. Smiley could go out and gather frogs and test them until he singled out the best frog for him to use in his bets. Mr. Smiley taught the frog that he caught in the story on how to jump higher, but if someone else were to…

If you’re squeamish, turn back. This isn’t a good place for you to be. If not, well, it’s possible that I’m going to change that. So listen up and listen quickly. It’ll be over before you know it. I used to love popping zits. There were days where all I could do was stand in front of my bathroom mirror and pop what pimples dared to show on my skin. The problem was, as far as my face goes, I have almost none there. But when it came to my body, there were quite a few problem areas I could attack.…

Hamlet’s actions throughout the play support this deceitful nature. His dual personalities are the foundation of his madness. There are many examples that illustrate how Hamlet’s deceitful nature results in a tragedy because of his inability to choose which role to play.      In Act One, Hamlet appears to be very straightforward in his actions and his role. When his mother questions him, Hamlet says, "Seems, madam? Nay it is. I know not…

“What law, you ask, do I satisfy with what I say?”—The Unwritten Law The title heroine’s famous defense speech in lines 995-1005 of Antigone has prompted the view that the play is extremely enigmatic. It is a passage that has been read with astonishment and demands detailed explanation. In her speech, Antigone provides what appears to be a reason for her burying her brother Polynices against the orders of her uncle and King, Creon. Antigone claims, however, that she would not have deliberately…
