    The army, to put it lightly, does not take control of out of hand situations correctly. All they do is throw tear gas grenade after tear gas grenade and then start shooting. At the start of the protest, it was not so bad because they would not shoot to kill, but it gradually got worse. Emad cares deeply for his family, but he also takes his sons to the protests, to show them what is really happening and to show them why their people are fighting. Emad also uses his footage to encourage other people to join the effort and it works well. Then, things get worse and people start being killed and gunned down. Even Emad himself gets shot at and beat up. He also serves time in jail for allegedly throwing a rock at the army during a protest. After he gets out he is put on house arrest for a couple months. Finally, after five years of protesting and rioting the court decides to tear down the barrier and return most of the land. This is a bittersweet victory, however, because a concrete wall is built a little further from the village. As Emad goes through hell and so do his cameras as told by the title of the documentary. The events that are captured throughout the documentary are recorded piece by piece on each of the five cameras. His first camera was used to capture fun events that went on within the village until the riots started. After that, it was destroyed by a tear gas canister hitting it, which also injured Emad’s hand. He receives a second camera from one of his friends and…
