People such as Mark Bauerlein have begun to claim that our generation is the “dumbest” generation. If he means that we are more silent than previous generations, that statement would be correct. We tend to spend our time writing and communicating through technology, whether it be social media or texting. Therefore we are fairly silent...from our mouths. While preceding generations may claim that we are the “dumbest” generation, we are actually much more advanced than they were and on the brink of a literary breakthrough.
