    In 1997 my two kids and I moved into an apartment. A two bedroom that was subsidized housing (based on income). My son was 7 and my daughter was 7 months old. Their dad refused to have anything to do with them because I chose to live for the Lord and not live in sin. I had to make up my mind, and raise them on my own. I had two jobs at the time. My first job was in childcare, and my second job was in the evening, at a grocery store. In order to work my evening job, I had to take the kids to my parents, and they lived about thirty minutes away. I was trying to saving for a house.
