Ptivides support to the body and helps connect different tissues to each other

Connective tissue

Structures in the body that maintains the form if the body and its organs

Tissue

The most widely distributed of all tissue type that connects many adjacent structure of the body

Areolar/loose connective tissue

Seen as thick wavy bundles that are scattered within the tussue spaces

Collagen fibers

Seen as thin branching fibers that look like fine strands of hair that are interposed along thick collagen fibers

Elastic fibers

This is the most numerous of the many types of cells found in this tissue, scattered within the fibers which are dark rounded structures

Fibroblast

Closely packed fat cells from the bulk of these tissue which are large, brilliant, spherical bodies whose cytoplasm reduce into thin layers

Adipose tissue

In the adipose tissue, the central part of the cell whuch us hollow indicates the presence of

Fat droplets

This tissue is masked by tge presence if reticular fiber that appears to be kinky threads. It forms the framework of lymphatic organs of the body

Reticular tissue

The entire specimen appears to be glassy or glossy in appearance. Found in the articulating joint of tge skeletal system.

Hyaline cartilage

Semi transparent glass like ground substance that fills the space of the cartilage

Matrix

These cells are scattered within the matrix. This forms groups or clusters

Chondrocytes

Grouos or clusters that was being formed in the chondriocytes

Cell families

The space that surrounds the chondriocyte and the capsule around it

Lacuna

Appears to be a fibrous structure outside the margin of the cartilage that serves to cover the whole cartilage

Perichondrium

Oval shaped cells that are found outside the vartilage matrix scattered along the perichondrium

Chondroblast

Structure are almost similar to hyaline cartilage. Forms network which is found in all directions

Elastic cartilage

Forms of rings numbering 4-20 in one haversian system

Concentric lamellae

Bony substance between the haversian canal system

Interstitial lamellae

Tiny dark elongated structure in the bony matrix embedded in the lacunae

Osteocytes

Tiny canal like structure formin a network where osteocytes communicate with each other

Canaliculi

Occupies the central portion of an osteon containing blood vessels and small amount of connective tissue. Communicates with volkmanns canal

Haversian canal

A tissue composed of many cells

Epithelium

Specialized for secretion

Glands
