How did the US become involved in WWI
*President Wilson believed the US should remain neutral during WWI
*Business people in the US wanted to trade with all countries in the war
*In 1915 Germany began to sink American merchant ships without rescuing survivors.
*Great Britain made US merchant ships turn around and go home
*Passenger ship Lusitania was sunk by Germans which killed almost 1200 people
