Have no joint cavity, fibrous tissue, or cartilage in the uniting structure. Little to no movement. No fluid.
What are ligaments
Primary connective tissue for a joint. Provides stability, input to the nervous system, guidance, and the limitation of improper joint movement. Are characterized by poor vascularity (blood supply). ***Important to consider repairing capabilities of ligaments when considering the # of days to rest)
