1). Describe several ‘representative’ heuristics that individuals use when deciding whether they should ask someone for a date (or accept a date). Under what circumstances are these heuristics likely to contribute to poor decision-making? (Use only REPRESENTATIVE HEURISTICS)

2) Is there a similar link between playing violent video games and becoming violent as there is a link between smoking and cancer?
-Violent behavior is is biopsychosocial and is not caused directly/simply from playing violent video games. Smoking, however, is simplified to cause and effect. If you smoke, you can expect that it will cause cancer. If you play violent video games, it is not likely that you will become violent. There has never been a time when cigarette sales increased and lung cancer decreased. Youth violence decreaed, while video games sales increased. Video games can have positive effects (reaction times, exposure to stimuli), and negative effects (time consuming, addictive, and replaces outdoor activities and exercise). There is no controversy over smoking and its damaging effects. There is a common comparison between the two, but research of video games and their effect on violence is still inconclusive, research has concluded that smoking causes cancer.
Video games and smoking both have addictive qualities and violence and cancer are both outcomes that science and research aim to decrease, prevent, or end completely. There is a link but the outcome (at this stage in research) is different.
